Taizé Services

The special Taizé service at First Congregational Church offers all people an opportunity for peace and reflection. The church’s next Taizé service is scheduled for Sunday, October 7 at 8 a.m. in the Chapel.

Inspired by the monks of Taizé, France, the service uses simple but beautiful music, quiet space, and meditative readings to help people find a moment for spiritual contemplation amid the demands of their day-to-day lives.

People of all religions and those with no faith tradition are welcome to this unique service.

The Taizé service will be led by the Rev. Dr. Barry W. Szymanski, pastoral care minister at First Congregational Church.  He will be assisted by pianist Rhonda Kwiecien and soloist Pierre Payne.

Other Taizé services will be held Sunday at 8 a.m. on the following dates in 2018-2019: October 7, November 11, January 6, February 3, March 3, March 31, May 26, and June 16.

First Congregational Church is located at 1511 Church Street in Wauwatosa, where it intersects with Menomonee River Parkway. Entrance to the parking lot is on Church Street.
